The Indonesian Occupational Medicine Association (IOMA) is the only Occupational Medicine professional organization in Indonesia with more than 150 members who are mainly concerned about improving the health of the workers to maintain their productivity. Since 2006, IOMA organizes Indonesian Occupational Medicine Updates (IOMU), an annual scientific meeting to update current issues in occupational medicine for their members and other stakeholders.
In 2019, the 13th IOMU will be held in collaboration with the International Commission on Occupational Health - Scientific Committee Mining Occupational Safety and Health (ICOH - MinOSH). The main topic of this annual meeting is “Occupational safety and health in mining: From ore to vision zero”. It is expected that around 500 national and international participants will attend this event. “From ore to vision zero” means that Indonesia is fully committed to support the control of health risks and eliminate various health problems for workers especially in mining, oil and gas and energy sectors. Numbers of scientific activities will discuss topics covering occupational diseases, workplace accidents, infectious and non-communicable diseases and controlling health risk in the work environment.

The 2nd International Conference on Mining and Energy OSH and the 13th Indonesian Occupational Medicine Updates 2019 provide workshop sessions to increase participant’s skill related to occupational health and safety. Participant can choose one of the workshops, and join one day workshop on 6th October 2019 with the following topics:

Opening ceremony of the 2nd International Conference on Mining and Energy OSH and the 13th Indonesian Occupational Medicine Updates 2019 will be held along with the Gala Dinner and Cultural Night event on 6th October 2019.
